The famous Catholic culture heritage in Melk (Austria) attracts tourists from all over the world. On the wall of one of the historical churches in Melk, Jianan Qu brushes a Chinese sentence with clean water, a wisdom of Confucius that encourages to focus on the actual life, not the afterwards.
The performance triggered anger and confusion from the crowd. Some claimed Jianan’s action made the church dirty, although he was rather ‘cleaning’ it. Some Chinese tourists took photos.
